Postpone the ship date of pre-orders

Moves the ship date of your pending pre-orders to shipsOn, for example when a release is delayed.

A sale is a pre-order when it has a shipsOn: your listing of a sealed product whose set was not released yet sold as a pre-order shipping on the set's release date. Each moved order gets shipsOn set to the new date and a shipBy 6 business days after it, never earlier than its current shipBy.

The buyer is told and can then cancel the order at once for a full refund until it ships. Each moved order fires order.ship_by.changed.

Orders are processed one by one and each gets an outcome:

  • postponed: moved to the new date.
  • not_found: no sale of yours has this number.
  • not_preorder: the order has no shipsOn. Contact CardNexus support to set one.
  • invalid_status: the order is no longer pending_shipment.
  • date_not_after_current: the order already ships on or after shipsOn.
  • conflict: the order changed while the call ran. Read it again before retrying.
